Description:
This course is intended for a varied audience of design and construction staff who are involved in the design, construction, and inspection of ADA accessibility features with an emphasis on curb ramps.

This course is offered in two formats:
* as a half-day instructor-led class at a designated classroom site, OR
* in the independent self study option, which is available here.

The independent self study course is in the PowerPoint Show format with audio, and the participant has the option of either taking the entire course (which takes approximately three and a half hours to complete) or the participant may focus on one or more of the fourteen course topics as needed. Each topic can be accessed by by clicking the ADA Curb Ramp Powerpoints Word document below. When the Word document opens you will see all 14 PowerPoint Links. Clicking on each link will open that particular PowerPoint. Please save the PowerPoint to you Desktop before running it. Once you open it from your Desktop you can begin the selected topic by clicking the icon "Slide Show" located in the lower right corner of the screen.

This course can be downloaded from PennDOT's Shared Website. Also included are handouts in PDF format of the PowerPoint show topics: "Chapter 01 through 08.pdf" and "Chapter 09 through 14.pdf". The PDF files may be printed and used as a quick reference.

PLEASE DO NOT OPEN OR RUN THIS FILE FROM THE PennDOT SHARED WEBSITE! Instead, download it to your workstation.

Awarding continuing education credits (PDH/CEU/CEH) to a training course or other training event does not imply or guarantee that the training course/event is approved by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Land Surveyors.

According to Pennsylvania Act 25, “Credit determination for activities…shall be the responsibility of the licensee.  Continuing professional competency obtained by a licensee should maintain, improve or expand skills or knowledge obtained prior to initial licensure, including law and ethics applicable to the profession, or develop new and relevant skills and knowledge.”
