DBE-MBE-WBE Item

Description

This screen is accessed from the DBE Participation for Federal Projects screen or MBE/WBE Commitment for State Projects screen (in EDIT mode) when the user clicks the Add Item button to associate a bid item with a subcontractor, service, or supplier or when the user clicks the item number hyperlink (to edit or view an item already associated with a minority business). The DBE Participation for Federal Projects or MBE/WBE Commitment for State Projects Item screen allows prime contractors to enter the details about the item associated with the minority business, including whether the item will be completed in whole or in part (partial). A free-form text field allows the prime contractor to enter a brief description of the work the minority business will perform or the services/supplies they will provide for partial items. Users in the appropriate user group associated with the apparent low bidder have access to this screen in create and update mode. Authorized PENNDOT users can access this screen in read mode. The screen allows users to navigate through the entire list of items by clicking the Prev(ious) or Next buttons. In create or edit mode, users can click the Add button on this screen to clear the data entry fields and allow the entry of a new item without having to return to the DBE Participation or MBE/WBE Commitment screen. This screen is part of the Contract Awards subsystem and provides part of the BEO Submission, Review, and Approval functionality. The security for this screen is the same as that of the DBE Participation for Federal Projects or the MBE/WBE Commitment for State Projects screen. See the appropriate Help document for the list of authorized users.
