Description

The ECMS Bulletins function is part of the Common Functions subsystem and is used by authorized persons to create and post bulletins or news items to the ECMS website, edit an existing item, or delete an item. ECMS Bulletins are displayed upon login for the applicable user groups. All users, including public users, can access the ECMS Bulletin Search screen in read mode to view bulletins.

ECMS Bulletins are categorized by general areas of interest, i.e. Bid Letting or General Information, and can be targeted to specific software application users, organizations, or Business Partner Types or can be marked for all users. The bulletins can be scheduled for display during a date range, or for a number of days.

The ECMS Bulletins Search screen can be accessed by all users to read, and the PENNDOT ECMS Announcement Author, PENNDOT BIS and PENNDOT Software Application Administrator to create, edit, or delete an announcement or news item. While the software application administrator user has rights limited to view, create, edit and delete bulletins for only their software applications and its users, the announcement author and BIS users may view, create, edit and delete any or all bulletins.
