When the user clicks this icon, they are taken to the screen’s “Tell Me About” Help document, which provides a brief screen description, a definition of each field, and a definition of each ‘action’ (link, button, icon). |
Up/Down Arrows (icon) |
When the user clicks the up arrow at the top left corner of the display, they are taken to the top of the screen view. When the user clicks the down arrow at the top left corner of the display, they are taken to the bottom of the screen view.
TIP: The function buttons such as BACK, EDIT, and SAVE are always located at the extreme bottom of the screen. Use the down arrow to quickly move to the buttons you need. |
Add New Master Item (link) |
When the user clicks this link, they are taken to the Master Item Details screen in ‘create’ mode. This link is only displayed when the user is authorized to create master items. |
Item Price History (link) |
When the user clicks this link, they are taken to the Item Price History screen from which they can generate a price history report for one or more construction items. |
Calendar/Clock (icon) |
This icon allows the user to select the "use from" and/or "use to" date (that is, the effective date) as search criteria.
When the user clicks this icon, the ECMS Date Selection Tool is displayed in a separate browser window. By default, the current month and year is displayed. The user selects the day portion of the date by clicking the day on the calendar display. |
Search (button) |
When the user clicks this button, they are taken to the Master Items list. The list is filtered based on the search criteria entered on the home page.
IMPORTANT: If no search criteria are entered and the user clicks this button, the program will attempt to retrieve all of the items in the Master Items List. This amount of data could cause delays in loading the search results to the Master Items list. It is strongly recommended that you qualify the search by selecting at least one criterion in addition to the Status. |
