Bid Tabs (ECMS)

Description

The Bid Tabs report displays an item-by-item view of bid amounts for the lowest three bidders for a project, as well as the bid total for all other opened bids. The report is initially generated when bids are opened and the apparent low bidder is determined. However, it is only viewable to PENNDOT and FHWA users at this time. The report is regenerated when the bid ranking changes, for example, when the low bid is rejected and a new apparent low bid is processed.

Prior to the award of the contract, the Bid Tabs report can only be viewed by PennDOT users, who access the report from the Go Links on the Contract Awards screen. The report may also be accessed from a static link on the Bid Results / All Bidders list.

This report is available to business partners and the public once the contract has been awarded. Public and business partner viewers can access the report from the Bid Results screen, which can be accessed from either the "recent results" or the Search links on the eBidding home page.

Note: If no bids are received, or if all submitted bids are rejected prior to bid opening, the Bid Tabs report is not generated. If all bidders for the project are rejected during the Contract Awards process, the Bid Tabs are only available to PENNDOT users. If the contract is awarded and subsequently cancelled, the Bid Tabs report is available to all users, including the public.

Fields

Field Name	State	Description
1 (Low Bidder)	Display Only	The apparent low bidder for the project. The data includes the bid ranking, Business Partner Name (hyperlink) and Bid Amount.
2 (Second Bidder)	Display Only	The second low bidder for the project. The data includes the bid ranking, Business Partner Name (hyperlink) and Bid Amount.
3 (Third Bidder)	Display Only	The third bidder for the project. The data includes the bid ranking, Business Partner Name (hyperlink) and Bid Amount.
Item Number	Display Only	The Item Number for the bid item. Note: Lump sum items containing Component Items are displayed only at the lump sum level.
Description	Display Only	The description of the bid item.
Modified Description	Display Only	The modified description is displayed in parentheses beneath the standard description for modified standard items.
Quantity	Display Only	The item quantity.
Unit Price	Display Only	The unit price as bid by the contractor. This field is displayed for each item and for each of the three low bidders on the project. It is used to calculate the line item total.
Item Total	Display Only	The total bid amount for the item. This field is displayed for each item and for each of the three low bidders on the project The Item Total as calculated by multiplying the item quantity times the unit price from the bid.

Actions

Action	Description
? (icon)	When the user clicks this icon, they are taken to the screen’s “Tell Me About” Help document, which provides a brief screen description, a definition of each field, and a definition of each ‘action’ (link, button, icon).
Up/Down Arrows (icon)	When the user clicks the up arrow at the top left corner of the display, they are taken to the top of the screen view. When the user clicks the down arrow at the top left corner of the display, they are taken to the bottom of the screen view. TIP: The function buttons such as BACK, EDIT, and SAVE are always located at the extreme bottom of the screen. Use the down arrow to quickly move to the buttons you need.
Back (button)	When the user clicks this button, they are returned to the previous screen in the browser history.
