<BLOCKQUOTE>The View EDMS Document function is part of the Common Functions and is used to view a document housed in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) which is linked to an ECMS screen.
<P><BR>Security allowing the user to attach, remove, or view EDMS documents is controlled by the ECMS screen. Authorized users access the View EDMS Document function by clicking the EDMS DocLink icon on the ECMS screen. This function is only available when the user has view authority on the ECMS screen and when an EDMS document link exists on the screen.<BR><BR>Important: You must have FileNET Panagon Viewer installed on your PC in order to view EDMS documents. </P></BLOCKQUOTE><BR>

Description

Security allowing the user to attach, remove, or view EDMS documents is controlled by the ECMS screen. Authorized users access the View EDMS Document function by clicking the EDMS DocLink icon on the ECMS screen. Step-by-Step Directions

User Action Result

From the ECMS screen, click the EDMS DocLink icon. A ‘please wait’ message is displayed. When ECMS has successfully called EDMS, the EDMS Document Viewer screen is displayed in a separate browser window.

When you are finished viewing the document, close the EDMS Document Viewer window by clicking the “X” in the upper-right hand corner. The EDMS Document Viewer screen closes, and you are returned to the ECMS screen.
