Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page. |
The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left. |
Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key. |
The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s). |
Click on Administration in the navigation panel. |
A menu opens with a list of Administrative options, dependent upon the security role of the user. |
Click on Application Security |
The Application Security screen is displayed with links for functions. The links available is dependent upon the security role of the user. |
Click on the Change User Profile link. |
The Change Profile Information screen is displayed in edit mode. The information that has previously been supplied by the user is entered in the screen. Three fields, Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password are located at the end of the information. |
To change phone number, fax number or email address, enter the new information in the appropriate field. |
The information is entered. |
To add or change the security question and answer (for future retrieval of forgotten passwords) choose a question from the list of questions displayed when you click on the down arrow. |
A question is entered in the question field.
Note: This question and answer will be stored and, if the user forgets his/her password, will be asked prior to automatically sending the user his/her password. If the user supplies the correct answer to the security question, then the system will allow the user to reset his/her password. |
Enter an answer you will remember in the Answer field. |
The answer value is entered in the field.
Note:The system is case sensitive, therefore, when entering and supplying this answer, the case must match. |
To change your password, enter your old (current) password in the Current Password field. |
The password is entered. |
Enter your new password in the New Password field. |
The new password is entered.
Note: ECMS passwords must be at least 6 characters and may contain alphanumeric characters, but no spaces. |
Re-enter the new password in the Confirm Password field, then click the Submit button. |
A message appears informing you that your password has been changed and asking you to log into ECMS again using your new password. |
After all desired changes are made, click the Submit button. |
A message appears informing you that your changes have been saved. If you are changing your password, a message appears informing you that your password has been changed and asking you to log into ECMS again using your new password. |
Click OK in the 'Success' message box. |
If you are changing your password, a message stating that logout was successful is displayed. The system logs out the user and requires the user to login using his/her userID and new password before continuing. |
If you are changing your password, enter your user ID in the User Name field at the top of the Navigation bar. |
The user ID you entered appears in the field. |
Enter your new password in the Password field at the top of the Navigation bar. |
The password you entered is masked by asterisks (****). |
Click the GO button. |
The ECMS Welcome page appears with your user ID and the navigation bar on the left.
NOote: The options on the navigation bar are tailored to your user ID. If you do not see an option you think you should have, contact your IT coordinator. |
