General Information

Summary:
The Surfaces Module will provide an understanding of how to create and modify a surface (digital terrain model) through course lecture and multiple exercises.

Learning Outcomes:
The students will learn how to load required files, use required locks, view the surface (features, perimeter, triangles, contours, etc), create a surface, import surface data, triangulate the surface, cut profiles and cross sections with various surfaces, update profiles and cross sections, calculate volumes between surfaces, and use surface commands (design and edit) and decision tables to build and modify surfaces.

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of Highway Design and Microstation.

Target Audience:
CADD Workstation users presently using InRoads Version 8.
