General Information

Summary:
The NEPA and Right of Way Integration is a two-day course designed to assist public sector transportation project managers, environmental planners, and right of way professionals better address and more effectively integrate right of way considerations and staff in to the environment development processes. The course will explore real world project examples demonstrating the importance of the two disciplines in accelerating project delivery.

Learning Outcomes:
o Describe the FHWA Objectives of NEPA
o Describe environmental considerations in the NEPA process
o Explain the fundamentals of the Right of Way Process
o Discuss the importance of relocation planning during NEPA
o Identify opportunities for successful incorporation of right of way staff in NEPA decision making
o Develop proactive strategies to implement right of way solutions in the NEPA process to facilitate project delivery
o Discuss the application of using federal advance/early acquisition processes
