General Information

Summary:
This course presents the records review process that satisfies the environmental due diligence requirements of the Management of Fill Policy to identify potentially contaminated materials on a property. Due diligence investigations are required for any fill materials that are anticipated to be excavated and transported/disposed outside of the highway or maintenance ROW limits of work. These procedures are also applicable to the database review portion of the Phase I ESA and other similar programs. The purpose of a records review is to conduct a paper study of records that are practically reviewable and relevant to the project study for indications of hazardous and environmental sensitive wastes, practices, or materials (Pub 281).

Learning Outcomes:
Upon Completion of this course Participants will be able to:
A. Conduct a records review which satisfies the environmental due diligence requirements for the Management of Fill Policy and similar programs.
B. Gain familiarity with the resources available to perform on-line environmental and site setting records review.
