General Information

Summary:
The purpose of this training is to highlight key information in PennDOT's MS4 Pollutant Reduction Plan Playbook, which is a guide to help Districts develop their plan(s) for achieving sediment reduction commitments in PennDOT's MS4 permit. The training will be part lecture format, part interactive discussion and Q&A. The focal points will be:
- Anticipated statewide MS4 permit pollutant load reduction requirements
- Sediment load distribution among Districts
- Recommended portfolio of reduction practices and costs
- Opportunities for reductions on NPDES and non-NPDES projects
- Partnering with other MS4 permittees through PennDOT Connects

Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the District's share of the MS4 permit pollutant load reduction goals
- Evaluate planned projects for sediment reduction opportunities
- Select cost-effective sediment reduction practices
- Communicate with interested parties regarding MS4 partnering
