General Information

Summary:
This course will present an overview of the use of Percent Within Tolerance (PWT) for bituminous pavement acceptance. The class will define PWT, explain the benefits of PWT, and describe the PWT process from selecting projects to material sampling and testing. The course will also discuss anticipated challenges with the use of PWT and the measures in place to take on those challenges

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
• Understand PWT for material acceptance and its value
• Understand the differences between the Standard Special Provisions available for use
• Identify projects where PWT can apply
• Have knowledge of the PWT process
• Understand the potential impacts of PWT and the methods to ease the impact
• Be informed of the resources available
• Understand the direction of PWT and how you can assist
