General Information

Summary:
This course will illustrate how to create the horizontal and vertical alignment for a sample project using the OpenRoads Designer civil geometry tools. Students will learn how to create, edit, annotate, and review alignments.

Learning Outcomes:
Create a Horizontal Alignment; Create Horizontal Elements: Lines and Arcs; Define Stationing; Create and Review Horizontal Geometry Report; Annotate Alignment; Define 2D & 3D Views; Create Vertical Alignment; Define Profile Model View; Create Vertical Elements: Lines and Curves; Set Active Profile; Create and Review Vertical Geometry Report; Creating Horizontal Geometry Using Best Fit Options

Introduction to OpenRoads Designer (not required)

Introduction to OpenRoads Designer (not required)
Working with Terrain Models

Special Materials:
Students will be required to have OpenRoads Designer 2022 R1 (10.11.00.115) software installed on their laptop.
Students will be required to have the current PennDOT CADD workspace on their local hard drive.
Students will need to have access to the OpenRoads Designer training materials in Microsoft Teams.
Students will need to have a prior knowledge of how to use Microsoft Teams to attend and participate in the virtual class.
