Summary: | This hands-on 2.5 day course will provide students with advanced OpenRoads template and modeling concepts and techniques. This course is intended to provide in depth information related to quick template construction, Null Point uses, End Condition targeting, Display Rules, Smart Geometry, Superelevation in models, and modeling tweaks and processes to improve design efficiency. In this course students will build and modify templates with advanced techniques for situations such as benching, be introduced to advanced concepts related to corridor model design, processing, and adjustments.

Learning Outcomes: | ovide the student with a better understanding of utilizing the PennDOT standard template library and the workflows to efficiently model in OpenRoads Designer. The student will learn how to edit and create templates with greater efficiency, apply and edit superelevation data, build and modify Display Rules, and create and utilize Null Points. After completing this course the student will understand the importance and uses of Key Stations, Target Aliasing and design stages. As well as understand the role corridor file size, template drop intervals and Design Stages play in model processing efficiency.
