Summary:
"Pennsylvania Unmanned Aerial Systems Virtual Workshop"
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), as part of its ongoing Every
Day Counts Round 5 (EDC-5) initiative, along with the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation are offering a three-day interactive
workshop on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Attendees will hear from subject matter experts on:
#Starting and growing a UAS program
#
Implementing UAS technology in support of key transportation
applications
#
Technology and UAS use case examples
Participants will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions on
four transportation applications. The sessions will focus on the
following topics:
Session 1: Pre-Construction
Project Scoping, Surveying
Session 2: Structural Inspections
#Supplementing Bridge Inspections, Overhead Signs, High Mast Lighting
Session 3: Construction
Construction Quantities, Routine Inspections, Work Zone Traffic
Monitoring
Session 4: Emergency Response
Landslides/Mudslides, Flooding Events
