General Information

Summary:
GeoMedia Professional version 6.1 Training Students are provided a course training guide and are given instructions to view and analyze GIS data from multiple sources and formats in one environment. Students will perform data queries, spatial analysis and will be able to produce sophisticated GIS maps.

Learning Outcomes:
GIS operators will be able to do the following:
1. Display multiple geographic data types in different layers without data conversion .
2. Utilize data from many different data sources in an integrated
GIS map.
3. Perform spatial ana lysis through buffer zones,queries, and
thematic displays.
4. Control the contents and the appearance of the map window
through the legend.
5. Place labels on GIS features.
6. Create read/write warehouses to place GIS data.
7. Import/export GIS data sets.
8. Print customized maps for viewing and to support decision
making.
