General Information

Summary:
The presenters of the webinar will explain the challenges and opportunities associated with the design, construction, and ultimately the operation of an intersection in Pennsylvania that was
converted to a complex Florida-T interchange. A Florida-T interchange provides left side deceleration and acceleration lanes for vehicles exiting and entering PA Route 28 leading to and
from an intersection with a side street. This type of configuration allowed PA Route 28 motorists who are continuing past 40th Street to do so uninterrupted. This particular location also had another street (East Ohio Street) feeding vehicles into the system, which further complicated the design, construction, and operations.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will gain an understanding of what to consider and of what to be aware when designing a similar type of interchange.

Teaching Method:
Webinar - Instructor Led

Target Audience:
The course is intended for practitioners within the highway transportation industry.

Final Exam:
No
