General Information

Summary:
IRWA Business relocation is a two (2) day intermediate course for right-of-way professionals. It provides them with the fundamentals of non-residential relocation and an overview of the step-by-step processes necessary to relocate a business, from the initial interview stage to final claim work. Participants will learn how to apply provisions of the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, in conjunction with the Surface Transportation and Relocation Assistance Act of 1987, and subsequent revisions, to the relocation of non-residential entities.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be knowledgeable of:

• Advisory assistance

• Fixed payments for businesses, nonprofit organizations and farms
