General Information

Summary:	This course will teach bridge designers/drafters how to utilize parts of InRoads to assist them in design. The course will contain seven hands-on exercises with bridge-related material. The student will learn how to create and manipulate horizontal and vertical alignments, create profiles, cut cross sections, import surface data into HEC RAS, work with surfaces, create reports, model a bridge deck, and calculate class 3 excavations for footings.
Learning Outcomes:	Upon successful completion of this course you will able to: �Lay out horizontal and vertical alignments; �Create profiles and cut cross sections; �Model a bridge deck surface; .Create reports; .Import surface data into HEC RAS; �Calculate Class 3 Excavation for footings �Familiarity with PENNDOT's InRoads Preference files
Prerequisites:	MicroStation Basics. Should be using MicroStation a minimum of 15 hours a week.
