General Information

Summary:
Instruction provided as needed. Telephone contact person to make arrangements. This one day advanced course is a presentation of Section 404 of the Federal Clean Water Act and Chapter 105 of the Pennsylvania Code. The course will focus on the permitting programs of both regulations, in relation to PennDOT maintenance activities. It also covers the evolving nature of the regulations, with a focus on current and upcoming changes. Representatives of the ACE Districts and the DEP Regional Office will be in attendance to address current issues and answer questions.

Learning Outcomes:
-Thoroughly understand the terminology and applicable aspects of Section 404 and Chapter 105.
-Determine maintenance activities requiring 404 and 105 authorization.
-Determine appropriate permitting and authorization vehicles.

Target Audience:
Staff that work with wetland issues.
