General Information

Summary:	A scheduled course covering herbicide application basics of applicator safety, label and MSDS review, mode of actions, herbicides formulations, weed biology, equipment calibration and exam preparation.
Learning Outcomes:	This course offers basic herbicide application knowledge and prepares attendee for the Core and Category 10 exams on the third day.

Teaching Method:	Conference/seminar setting
Target Audience:	Department employees who have been selected to be a certified pesticide applicator, their direct supervisors and roadside personnel.

Special Materials:	Study guidebooks provided ahead of the training; their costs are covered under a contract with Penn State; exam fees are also covered under the contract. Exams are administered by Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA).

Continuing Education Credits

Awarding continuing education credits (PDH/CEU/CEH) to a training course or other training event does not imply or guarantee that the training course/event is approved by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Land Surveyors.
