General Information

Summary:
In this course you will learn how to conduct traffic studies, evaluate development impacts, and optimize signals all using the PVT Vistro package.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion, attendee will be familiar with:
Background images and Bing™ Maps
Network setup
Signal timing development
LOS analysis with HCM and other methodologies
Scenario management
Signal timing optimization of intersections, corridors, & networks
Traffic impact analysis network setup
Development trip tracking
Mitigation analysis
Creation of report-ready figures and output summaries
Data import from other software packages
Data export to Vissim microsimulation

Instructor Lead

Prerequisites:
Attendees should have a basic understanding of signal timing concepts.

Target Audience:
PennDOT District Traffic Unit personnel that perform or review Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) Analysis information for planning and operational studies.
