General Information

Summary:
Five (5) day, in-person, instructor-led course with approximately nineteen (19) introductory-level modules, training staff on administrative and technical tasks relative to PennDOT Traffic Safety and Operations: Introduction, Performance Measures, Guidance and Directives, Organization, Highway Safety, Tour of Sign Shop (field trip), Signing, Tour of Traffic Management Center (field trip to TMC), TMC Presentation, Crash Records, Traffic Analysis, Traffic Engineering, Work Zones, Pavement Markings, Special Hauling Permits, Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), Signals and Connected/Autonomous Vehicles (CAV), and Online Resources. - Understand how their role ties into PennDOT vision, mission and goals

- Map a career in Highway Safety and Traffic Operations
