General Information

Summary:
The Webinar will provide an overview of the water obstruction permitting process from the PennDOT design process, PADEP permit review process and the amendment and permit close-out process. It will include a discussion of regulatory authority including PADEP, USACE, the PA Statewide Programmatic General Permit (PASPG-4), and Coast Guard for water obstructions. This webinar will guide the participant through an overview of the Permit requirements, application process and amendment requirements for field changes during construction. The goal of the webinar is to make participants aware of the intricate process in scoping, developing and securing a permit in the design process and the issues that are encountered during and after construction.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this webinar, the attendee will be able to:
1.Determine which types of projects require a Water Obstruction Permit.
2.Discuss the jurisdiction of federal and state agencies in the water obstruction permitting process.
3.List the types of PASPGP-4 Permits that are frequently used on PennDOT projects.
4.Discuss the permit process for submission, review, approval, execution and amendments.
5.Discuss requirements for permit compliance at construction completion.
