General Information

Summary:
• This course is a minimum of 30 hours instruction time which includes
• 14 hours of mandatory topics
 Intro to OSHA
 Managing Safety & Health
 Focus 4 Hazards
 PPE
 Health Hazards
 Stairways & Ladders
• 12 hours of Elective and Optional topics which may include : Confined Space, Cranes, Excavations, Ergonomics, Fire Protection, Materials Handling, Scaffolds, Tools, Foundations of Safety Leadership
• 4 hours of Optional topics
• Upon completion the learner will receive an OSHA 30 hour training completion card and a certificate of completion.

Learning Outcomes:
1) Intended for supervisors and workers with some safety responsibility
2) Identify, abate, avoid, and prevent job related hazards.
3) Understand their rights and their employer’s responsibilities under OSHA.
4) Understand how management commitment and employee involvement are keys to the success of a safety program
