General Information

Summary:	This course focuses on the non-destructive testing (NDT) methods by ultrasonic testing. Course includes hands-on examples of this NDT technique. Participants will demonstrate proficiency in this testing method at the conclusion of the course. Training meets the minimum recommended for Level I technicians by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT).
Learning Outcomes:	Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be able to: Understand the basics of sound and its travel through a medium. Understand how to generate and capture sound using transducers. Understand the limitations of this NDT technique. Perform basic ultrasonic testing Understand the type of defects that can be detected.
