General Information

Summary:
The course provides training to develop and enhance DOT capabilities to conduct and facilitate risk/opportunity management assessments.

Learning Outcomes:
Identify project conditions and performance requirements where simple and complex risk/opportunity management (RM) methods can be applied;
Identify the steps of the RM process;
Conduct RM assessments for simple projects;
Formulate a RM Plan on a typical transportation project (QDOT Project);
Document, interpret, and apply the results obtained with the RM process;
Communicate the results of RM process;
Apply the R09 Risk Template and implement results (e.g. cost, schedule, disruption, and longevity).

Instructor Led

Prerequisites:
None

Target Audience:
PennDOT Risk Management Statewide team and Consultants and an Project Managers who want to lead the risk management process as facilitators.

Special Materials:
Business Partners and District Personnel are asked to bring a laptop to the training. District Personnel who do not have a laptop may work with their District IT staff to secure a laptop.
