General Information

Summary:
The Crash Data Analysis and Retrieval Tool (CDART) training course provides hands-on instruction on the use of this web-based query tool. In this one-day course, you will be introduced to the various query and reporting functions that allow you to analyze and report on crash data up to 20 years maintained in the Crash Record System (CRS).

Learning Outcomes:
Through active participation in the class, the participant will be able to:
• Select criteria to generate standard reports and maps using the Crash Data Analysis and Retrieval Tool (CDART)
• Evaluate and analyze crash data included on CDART reports and maps
• Discuss policies related to confidentiality and release of crash data

Prerequisites:
Must possess and be registered with a CWOPA email address.
General experience with Windows-based applications.

Target Audience:
CWOPA address users only.
PennDOT Highway Safety and Traffic Engineers who need to make engineering decisions based on reportable crash data. Other PennDOT personnel who use crash data to make planning and programming decisions.
“This course is not intended specifically for Reimbursement Activity Reports (RAR) coordinators or other Tort Liability concerns.”
