General Information

Summary:	This one-day training course provides lectures and workshops on the application of the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM 2010) procedures and use of the Highway Capacity Software (HCS 2010) for the operational analysis of intersections.
Learning Outcomes:	The procedures are covered in detailed presentations following the HCM 2010 methodologies, including the supplemental information as appropriate. The analytical procedures for Two-Way Stop Control, All-Way Stop Control, Roundabouts, Signalized Intersections and Urban Streets are presented step-by-step from beginning to end, including working through example problems to ensure a complete understanding. The Highway Capacity Software (HCS 2010), that implements the procedures defined in the HCM 2010, is demonstrated to apply example problems. Instruction on the HCS 2010 interface, help system and report options is provided to reinforce the HCM 2010 procedures as applied in software.
