General Information

Summary:
Superpave Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavements are constructed throughout the PennDOT Districts. This webinar will present information on the basics of Superpave HMA performance graded asphalt materials. The webinar will also explain HMA asphalt materials’ volumetric mixture design and analysis. Additionally, the webinar will present the definition, and technologies of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA). The benefits and implementation of WMA will also be discussed.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the attendee will be able to:
•Identify Superpave HMA asphalt materials’ basic characteristics.
•Explain HMA asphalt materials’ volumetric mix design and analysis, at a high level.
•Provide basic concepts of Warm Mix Asphalt and benefits.
