General Information

Summary:	This workshop will focus on proper stormwater control design considerations maintenance requirements in a Post-Construction Stormwater Management (PCSM) Plan. The course will provide valuable information for designers and engineers on best management practice (BMP) designs, which reduce maintenance needs and ensure long-term functionality.
Learning Outcomes:	Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 1. Identify design features that reduce maintenance for Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs). 2. Identify the recommended inspection, maintenance, and repair procedures for the stormwater measures in PennDOT’s BMP Toolbox. 3. Conduct and document SCM maintenance activities. 4. Identify the common modes of failure for SCMs and why it is important to properly maintain them. 5. Locate and interpret the maintenance information in a PCSM Plan.
Teaching Method:	Instructor Lead Workshop
Prerequisites:	Attendees must have design experience in Stormwater Control Measures(SCMs) or be responsible for maintaining SCMs.
Target Audience:	Maintenance foremen-level and above; Design engineers
