General Information

Summary:
The course presents an overview of the Department’s Emergency Transportation Operations (ETO) Manual and procedures that will guide operations during times of emergency. The focus is on application of ICS roles and responsibilities for the effective gathering of information, translation of information into action plans, and providing resources to carry out those plans. The plans govern how counties report to and receive assistance from the District Incident Command level, and how the District reports to and receives assistance from the Area Command at Central Office.

Learning Outcomes:
The goal of this briefing is to familiarize ETO members with the ETO Manual including roles and responsibilities and procedures that will guide operations during times of emergency.

Teaching Method:
Classroom-based lecture.

Prerequisites:
None.

Target Audience:
PennDOT employees only who are about to be a part of the ETO Organization.
