General Information

Summary:
In the last several years, standard construction specifications have been modified to use reclaimed Portland cement concrete, tire shreds, glass cullet and other materials. To encourage the use of recycled materials, this webinars will cover PennDOT’s recycled materials uses and current specifications. The webinar will describes the uses, the limitations, lessons learned, required and recommended pre-use planning, and QA/QC.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, an attendee will have an understanding:
• Different types of recycle materials and where they located;
• Current recycle materials specification;
• Recycle materials PennDOT have used in the past;
• The performance outcomes of these recycle materials;
• Future projects using recycling materials.
