General Information

Summary:
This course provides in-depth training to bridge inspection crews in the operation and maintenance of the Aspen Aerials bridge access units.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
•Describe the functions and capabilities of the unit.
•Know the location of the unit components, functions of each
component.
•Describe the operation sequence of the unit.
•Perform pre-trip inspection, system test and hydraulic
holding valve test.
•Operate the unit smoothly
•Troubleshoot the electrical and hydraulic systems of the unit.
•Field adjustments to the electrical, hydraulic and unit
control systems of the unit.
•Perform periodic maintenance.

Teaching Method:
Instruction will be provided in a classroom setting and outdoors with an actual unit.

Target Audience:
•Mechanics that currently work or will work on cranes
•Bridge Crane Operators
•Bridge Crane Operator Supervisors

Special Materials:
Appropriate attire for outdoor, hands-on instruction with a unit.
