Summary: | This course describe effective practices for utility conflict management (UCM) at transportation agencies. By emphasizing an earlier identification of utility conflicts and participation by all stakeholders (including project manager, designer, utility engineer/coordinator, utility owners, etc.), the course describes techniques and practices that result in improved design plans and fewer unnecessary utility relocations. The course emphasizes the judicious application of avoiding, minimizing, and mitigating principles and techniques.
