General Information

Summary:
This training has been developed to provide working knowledge in the following topical areas:
* ICS staffing and organization to include reporting and working relationships and information flow.
* Transfer of Command
* Unified Command functions in a multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency incident
* ICS forms
* Resource Management
* Interagency mission planning and procurement

Learning Outcomes:
The course objectives are as follows:
• describe how the NIMS Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents;
• describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the ICS;
• implement the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident; and
• develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.

Teaching Method:
Classroom instruction including auvido-visual presentations.Classes will be led by certified PennDOT instructors who have knowledge of the Emergency Transportation Operations (ETO) Manual and its application

Prerequisites:
Prior Emergency Transportation Operations (ETO) Manual and its application training and completion of ICS 100, 200, and 700 courses are prerequisites for the ICS 300 training.

Target Audience:
Highway Administration Bureau Directors, members of the Area Command Center, District Incident Command Center Staff, County Maintenance Managers, Assistant County Maintenance Managers, and County Equipment Managers are required to attend ICS 300 training.
