General Information

Summary:
This course takes you through importing an electronic field book into the CAD environment. Once imported, the electronic field book contents are verified visually and corrections are made. You will be able to create geometry projects and digital terrain model (DTM) surfaces from the data. Surfaces are checked for errors and corrected as needed.

Learning Outcomes:
After completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Set up an InRoads Survey project;
- Import electronic survey data from a data collector;
- Review and edit survey data;
- Use feature codes;
- Correct problems in survey data;
- Create geometry projects;
- Create DTMs;
- Correct problems in surface data.

Prerequisites:
Experience in surveying desirable. Working knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microstation.
