Summary: | This course will prepare PennDOT employees to train other employees. Topics addressed include a description of the FDR process, selection of the stabilization approach to be used, assessment and sampling, materials testing, project design factors to consider, construction factors such as equipment, procedures, and weather condition limitations, and quality assurance and quality control plans and checks.

Learning Outcomes: | At the end of this course, you will be able to: • Understand what FDR is • Understand where FDR can be applied • Have knowledge of the equipment necessary to perform FDR • Understand the FDR pavement and mix design process

Preferably, participants will attend this course in person. For those who cannot travel, participation will be available through a webinar.

Prerequisites: | Minimum six months field experience in maintenance, construction, pavement engineering, or materials particularly with respect to asphalt milling and paving.

Target Audience: | PennDOT employees nominated by their District Executive who will assume the role of a trainer to provide the same instruction to other appropriate personnel from their District Office and counties. Participants are expected to provide a constructive critique of the course and materials presented.
