General Information

Summary:
A construction claim is “a legitimate request for additional compensation of cost and/or time”. Construction claims are submitted, at times, on PennDOT projects. This Webinar will provide information on the causes of claims. This Webinar will also provide tips on avoiding costly claims, from an experienced Contractor’s perspective. Specific examples of claims will also be discussed.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the attendee will:
1. Define construction claims in PennDOT.
2. Discuss the causes of construction claims submitted by Contractors.
3. Identify tips for avoiding construction claims.

Target Audience:
All professional licensees in PennDOT and anyone interested in learning about avoiding construction claims.
