General Information

Summary:	This first class is a Pilot. MRIGlobal will provide training to PennDOT staff on use of the Analytical Tool within SafetyAnalyst. Instructors will provide training through means of presentations, software demonstrations, and participant exercises. Participants will be provided with a workbook containing the lessons (i.e., slides) and exercises. The instructors will lead participants step-by-step through typical SafetyAnalyst applications. The most recent version of SafetyAnalyst will be loaded on computers in the training facility for hands-on use of the software by participants during the training. Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to apply SafetyAnalyst for highway safety management, produce SafetyAnalyst output reports, and interpret the results. Attachment A provides a preliminary agenda for the training. Demonstration of the software will be conducted using the Pennsylvania dataset. The training facility which will include computers for all participants, and MRIGlobal will work with the IT personnel at the training facility (as necessary) to load the SafetyAnalyst software and the Pennsylvania dataset.
Learning Outcomes:	Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to apply SafetyAnalyst for highway safety management, produce SafetyAnalyst output reports, and interpret the results
Target Audience:	Staff at the central and district offices who perform safety analyses. The training may be of value, but is not intended, for system administrators and data managers.

Continuing Education Credits
