General Information

Summary:	There are only three areas in PennDOT that have the ISO 9001 certification. These areas are then reviewed by external auditors to ensure that the ISO criteria is met and verified. This is an international certification that is utilized by major companies and other organizations to ensure high quality throughout the organization and meeting customer expectations. The ISO 9001 standards change approximately every 5 years, with the new changes our certifications need to reflect these changes in our systems. The new 9001-2015 criteria changes need to be reviewed and explained not only to management, process owners and internal auditors but, then incorporated into our processes. This training will contribute in this process.
Learning Outcomes:	The training shall be one-day and shall address the following topics: • Overview of the major changes in the ISO 9001-2015 standard, but should not include a history of the revisions. • Review of all clauses within 9001:2015, highlighting the differences with 9001:2008, with an emphasis on upper management involvement in the new standard. • Risk Management- Risk Assessment-- Understand the relevance of risk-based thinking, leadership, and process management. • Internal Audit Changes.
