General Information

Summary:
In October 2018, Governor Wolf signed into law Act 86 of 2018. This law authorized the development of a five-year pilot for Automated Speed Enforcement in Work Zones (AWZSE). AWZSE can be considered for long-term and short-term work zones on all Federal-aid highways under the jurisdictions of PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. PennDOT, the Commission, and Pennsylvania State Police have been working together to develop the framework necessary to have the pilot program operational by this fall.
The purpose of this one-day Summit is to provide information about the AWZSE Program in Pennsylvania, and to gather input and feedback on how the program is to be developed and administered
