General Information

Summary:
This webinar will provide a general overview of the Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS). The course will provide a national and state perspective on the various applications of the technology though example projects. The course will also provide a general overview of new state specification for the use of GRS-IBS on low volume Roads within Pennsylvania.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants can expect to gain a better understanding of the Every Day Counts initiative of GRS-IBS and how it has been implemented in Pennsylvania. Attendees will gain knowledge of the basic design tools as well as practical applications through examples of structures built using the technology in Pennsylvania by both local governments and PennDOT. From this webinar, design professionals will gain foundational knowledge of the system and where to find additional information to assess the technology and determine its applicability to their specific projects.

Target Audience:
The course is intended for highway design engineers and one PDH will be awarded for participation. The course will offer 60 minutes of presentation with 30 minutes reserved for questions.
