General Information

Summary:
In accordance with the FHWA’s policies, new bridges and totally replaced bridges engineered after October 1, 2010 should be load rated with the Load and Resistance Factor Rating(LRFR) method specified in the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation To further support FHWA's initiative of implementing this method, a series of webinars have been planned to provide continued awareness for local, regional, and State transportation agencies. These webinars will be hosted online and offered at no cost via the FHWA webinar training platform.

Target Audience:
The target audiences for this FHWA LRFR Implementation Webinar Series are bridge and structure staff from local, regional, and State transportation agencies as well as FHWA Division Bridge Engineers. Participants will be able to download the presentations at the webinars. Each webinar will focus on a specific topic that has been identified as most needed.

Special Materials:
Several days after the webinar, FHWA will issue a certificate of completion stating three hours of instruction for this webinar. Full attendance at the webinar is required to receive a certificate.

Awarding continuing education credits (PDH/CEU/CEH) to a training course or other training event does not imply or guarantee that the training course/event is approved by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Land Surveyors.

According to Pennsylvania Act 25, “Credit determination for activities…shall be the responsibility of the licensee.  Continuing professional competency obtained by a licensee should maintain, improve or expand skills or knowledge obtained prior to initial licensure, including law and ethics applicable to the profession, or develop new and relevant skills and knowledge.”
