General Information

Summary:
This course is to teach potential CDS NeXtGen Operators in operating PennDOT's Construction Documentation System. At the end of the course, a certification test will be given.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, the operator will be familiar with Contract Information, System Utility, Reports, PSA’s, Estimate and Work Order Modules. The operator will setup a project, enter in Project Site Activities (PSA), generate estimates, create work orders, upload information to ECMS and download information from ECMS, perform queries and access reports. The operator will also become familiar with the Engineering and Construction Management System (ECMS). In ECMS, the operator will be trained in creating adjustments and contract authorizations. The operator will learn how to finish an estimate and work order in ECMS.
