General Information

Summary:
To provide a high level overview of the newly developed Transportation Program Development and Project Delivery Process that more closely links and integrates the traditional transportation planning process with the environmental and design processes. This one-hour short course will address key changes to the process and review and emphasize the linkages and coordination between the public, municipal organizations, Planning Partners and PennDOT that are essential to the development and implementation of a more predictable program, for the LRTP and TIP, that includes projects with better defined scopes, schedules and budgets.

Learning Outcomes:
•Describe the Transportation Program Development and Project Delivery Process (7-Step Process)
•List the key changes to the process
•Explain the importance of defining scope, schedule, and budget early in the process by linking land use and transportation planning, and linking planning activities to NEPA (environmental clearance) activities.
