General Information

Summary:	The purpose of this course is to discuss the three major types of environmental permits commonly associated with transportation projects and how to properly implement the requirements of the permits during and post construction to avoid a notice of violation. The permits presented in this course are the DEP Chapter 105, Chapter 102 Erosion and Sedimentation and Stormwater, and the USACE Section 404.
Learning Outcomes:	-Identify the requirements for amending a permit. -List the types of permits issued for a project for erosion and sedimentation pollution control and post construction stormwater management. -List the required actions after a significant rainfall event. -Describe the items that should be covered at a pre-construction conference to help ensure environmental compliance. -Describe an Inspector’s responsibility for E&S Control Plan compliance. -Describe the coordination and sources of information for Post Construction Stormwater Management. -List the project office paperwork requirements for permits. -Identify the permit agencies to coordinate with on compliance issues.
Target Audience:	This course was designed for new and experienced inspectors and inspection managers.
