General Information

Summary:
The Operation and Application of TMAs course is an introductory course on the operation and application of TMAs in work zones. It is a 4 hour course that applies workable concepts, applications, and recommended practices in the deployment, operation, and removal of TMAs. Previous experience in TMA driving is not required for this course. Course materials include ATSSA’s Field Guide for the Use and Placement of Shadow Vehicles in Work Zones.

Learning Outcomes:
Students will be able to explain the basic principles of the operation and application of the TMAs.
Students will comprehend the underlying principles of temporary traffic control as detailed in the MUTCD.

Teaching Method:
Instructor-led

None

Target Audience:
Operators (Operator B) and Fleet Management Training staffers.
