General Information

Summary:
Utility facilities are impacted on almost every highway project. Through proper liaison with utility companies, it is possible to expedite adjustments in a practical and economical manner, while ensuring that there is sufficient time to avoid project delays. This webinar provides a general overview of ways to avoid delays due to utility relocations. This webinar will also address the following items: Federal Regulations affecting utilities adjustments, and the utility reimbursement process. Familiarization of the Design Manual Part 5-Utilities will also be provided.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, the attendee will be able to:
•Identify federal regulations for utility relocations.
•Identify the impacts utilities impose on projects.
•Recognize DM-5 –Utilities.
•Recognize/communicate the best practices to avoid utility delays.
