General Information

Summary:
The County Maintenance Leadership Program (CMLP) conference was created for Assistant Highway Maintenance Managers, Highway Equipment Managers, and Roadway Programs Coordinators. The intent of this conference is for leadership development and effective knowledge transfer between the three critical roles in the county management team. The importance of their working relationships on a day-to-day basis defines the success of the County Maintenance Organization.

Learning Outcomes:
- Better understanding of PennDOT's organizational structure to include Divisions under Bureau of Maintenance and Bureau of Operations.
- Learn invaluable leadership skills that can be used after the conference in current/future roles.
- Better understanding of what other county management roles entail to better support the county team.
- Know where to find resources; i.e. policies, procedures, best practices, training, contacts, etc.
- Networking with peers across the state to have additional support/guidance, when needed.
- Better understanding of Labor Relations issues and steps to address.
